Prabodha is now at the helm of the operations of VS Group. He pioneered the private sector owned hydropower projects in Sri Lank coupled with extensive experience and technical expertise in the field. He successfully ventured into projects outside Sri Lanka to Nepal, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and many other countries. He is a visionary leader and under his guidance, the first-ever Turbine manufacturing plant has been successfully established in Sri Lanka. Prabodha is a graduate of the University of Colombo. He has taken part in the commissioning of more than 50 hydropower projects in African and Asian regions.

Nishan is an Investment banker and an Electrical Engineer who graduated from the University of Moratuwa. He has more than a decade of experience in project finance and has been the head of project finance in Private Sector Infrastructure Development Company Limited (PSIDC), a company established under the auspices of the world bank, before taking up the current position in VSC.

Maithree severs VSC in the capacity of Director and a Civil Engineer by profession, with plenty of experience in Sri Lanka as well as overseas. He is a chartered Civil Engineer of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), UK, and Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). He has engaged in numerous hydropower projects and possesses immense experience in the industry. His previous engagements include roles in design, project management, quality control & assurance of hydropower projects at developer companies and contracting companies that include projects in East Africa. He was awarded the Platinum award for “Best individual influence on productivity” in 2008 organized by Lanka Equities group of companies held once every 3 years. Maithree’s areas of professional expertise range from providing conceptual designs for hydropower projects, preparation of tender documents, contract negotiation, Engineering management & planning, cost analysis, quality assurance, and quality control.

Bhathiya is an engineering graduate from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, who specialized in Civil and Structural Engineering. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from the same University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Finance and Strategy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He has participated in an International Training Program on “Small Hydropower Development” conducted by Alternate Hydro Energy Center, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Further, he holds membership in several professional bodies as an associate member including the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka Energy Manager’s Association. Bhathiya has more than 12 years of experience in the industry in multiple sectors such as Hydropower, Wind Power, Energy Management, Plantation, and Real Estate.

Keerthi is a civil engineer by profession and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. His experience in the industry exceeds over 30 years in multiple sectors. He has been a visiting instructor in the University of Moratuwa and course coordinator of Training division of the Institute of Construction Training and Development (ICTAD). Keerthi has played a major role in a number of ADB funded projects under road, storm water and building sectors and holds an associate membership of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka.

Ranga is an engineering graduate from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, who specialized in Civil and Structural Engineering. He is an associate member of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka and has been a part of the Design and construction of multiple projects in Maldives, Uganda, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. He began his career as a site engineer in the Muwambe hydropower project, Uganda, and currently working in VSC in the capacity of Senior Design Engineer/ Design Coordinator. He has comprehensive knowledge of internationally accepted design standards and possesses in-depth knowledge of modern design/ analysis tools.

Nuwan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He received a diploma in Arbitration and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management. He qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and became a Corporate Member (MAIQS) of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Further, he qualifies as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (AIQSSL) of Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka. His area of expertise ranges from Power, Healthcare, High-rise buildings, Hospitality, Residential, Infrastructure, Recreational, and Rail. Nuwan worked for international consultancy and construction companies in Sri Lanka, UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), and African regions.

Professor Saman is a leading Geotechnical Engineer in the industry and a prominent educator in academia. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, the USA in 1996 and served as an Adjunct Professor attached to the same university. He began his academic career in Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and later joined Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in 2015. Currently, he is serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and as a senior professor attached to the Faculty.  Prof. Thilakasiri is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). He was an inaugural member and a Vice President of the Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society (SLGS) and currently serves as an executive committee member. Prof. Thilakasiri is a pioneer in the Geotechnical industry and has got involved in a large number of projects as a Geotechnical Engineering Consultant since 1998.

Sameera is a Chartered Architect registered under Architects Registration Board, Sri Lanka and he possesses the Associate status of Institute of Architects, Sri Lanka. He received his Bachelors in Architecture degree from the University of Moratuwa. Sameera has vast experience in the design of commercial/ residential high-rise buildings, plantation, leisure, and apparel sectors. He was in the design team of the world-renowned “MAS Thurulie” apparel manufacturing plant which was awarded the LEEDS Platinum rating as the first purpose-built green factory for apparel manufacturing in the world.

Dr. Nalin De Silva is a senior lecturer; geo technical expert and leading senior geotechnical engineer. He obtained his PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2008 and has served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the same University before he moved to Sri Lanka to continue his career in the academia as a senior lecturer. Dr. Nalin is a Chartered Engineer and a Corporate Member of The Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). He is also a member of the Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society (SLGS) and International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSGE). Dr. Nalin is the National Patent holder for his invention of Force sensor for Earth pressure measurement. He has served as the resource person in many workshops on Soil mechanics and Geo-technical engineering conducted by a number of Government and Private Organizations including the National Building Research Organization (NBRO), University of Moratuwa and Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation. Dr. Nalin has contributed his extensive geotechnical knowledge and skills on a large number of projects including Central Expressway project, Colombo Port East Terminal Development project, Kaluganga water supply project, Kandy Pathadumbara Water Supply project, Port City Development Project and ITC Hotel Project. He has also published a number of research papers, journals and books in the field of Geotechnical Engineering to better serve his knowledge to the industry.

Hasantha is a civil engineering graduate from University of Moratuwa and earned his master’s degree in foundation engineering and earth retaining systems. He is a researcher in the field of Non-Destructive Testing methods of deep foundations and has published international papers. Moreover, Hasantha is an associate member of Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka and a member of Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society. He is an expert in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering and pile testing, and assumes the role of geotechnical design lead at the office. Hasantha worked for many foreign funded Sri Lankan mega projects, foreign projects in Seychelles and many hydro power projects in eastern Africa. Hence, he carries comprehensive knowledge in geotechnical engineering.

Ravindu is an engineering graduated from University of the West of England. He is an associate member of Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka and a graduate member of Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom. He is an expert in structural and hydraulic design. He began his career from international hydropower projects and still is serving this sector with more than four years’ experience in VSC for projects in Sri Lanka and east Africa.

Madushika is a civil engineering graduate from University of Moratuwa. Madushika is an associate member of Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, Engineering council of Sri Lanka and Society of Structural Engineers Sri Lanka. Moreover, Madushika is a Trained Associate Green Professional of Sri Lanka Green Building Council. He is an expert in Structural Designing, Finite Element Analysis, Hydraulic analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Madushika has structural design experience of different residential and resort projects in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Maldives. He has structural and hydraulic design experience for many hydropower projects in Sri Lanka and East Africa, carries excellent design knowledge and practice on different international standards and code of practices.

Ruchira is a chartered civil engineer graduated from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, who is specialized in Civil and Structural Engineering. He is a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka and a corporate member of Society of Structural Engineers Sri Lanka. He has been a part of the design and construction of multiple projects across Sri Lanka mainly building structures including Highrise. He began his career as a design engineer and holds construction experience in piling and slope protection sector also. Presently he works in VSC in the capacity of Design Engineer. He has comprehensive knowledge of internationally accepted design standards and possesses in-depth knowledge of modern design/ analysis tools. 

Menaka is a Chartered Architect registered under Architects Registration Board, Sri Lanka and she possesses the Associate status of Institute of Architects, Sri Lanka. She received her Bachelors in Architecture degree and Masters in Interior Designing from the University of Moratuwa. Menaka has vast experience in the architectural design of commercial/ residential buildings and interior design of residential and hospitality sectors.

Prabodini is a Quantity Surveyor by profession and has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She has also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Management from the University College of Estate Management, United Kingdom and received a diploma in Commercial Arbitration from Institute for Development of Commercial Law and Practice, Sri Lanka. She is an Associate Member (ACIArb) of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom. Her experience in the industry exceeds over 10 years and her area of expertise ranges from Hydro Power, Water Supply, Infrastructure, Buildings and Airports. Prabodini has worked for esteemed consultancy and construction companies in Sri Lanka, UAE (Dubai) and Oman.

Tharindu is a civil engineering graduate from University of the West of England. Moreover, Tharindu is a gradute member of Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom. He is an expert in structural and hydraulic modelling. Tharindu worked for foreign funded Sri Lankan projects and many hydro power projects in eastern Africa, and carries comprehensive knowledge in structural engineering.
